How Many Calories ... in a Fortune Cookie?
Categories: How Many Calories?
I hardly ever order dessert when I eat out, so on the rare occasion that I dine at a Chinese restaurant, I look forward to the inevitable coming of the fortune cookie -- I like to finish off the meal with something light but sweet. Plus, I love cracking it open to find my fortune. I carry the good ones around with me in my wallet.
But withe the consistency of sweet cardboard, fortune cookies are obviously highly processed and therefore devoid of much nutritional value. I couldn't help wonder, then, if they're more than just not good for you, but downright bad for you. What do you think? How many calories are in a fortune cookie?
The answer is 35 calories and 0 g of fat. Not bad, huh? Hey, we're not all about the high calorie stuff. So if you like having the occasional fortune cookie? Don't sweat it. You should be more concerned with the high-calorie Chinese meal you probably just wolfed down.

The last fortune cookie I ate had the Nutrition Facts printed on the package. It said 210 calories. I've never eaten another one since.

I heard that the true way to eat a fortune cookie is that you must remove the fortune without breaking the cookie (it is possible, I've done it with the aid of a toothpick) and then read the fortune and then eat the cookie...this is how your fortune comes "true"

why are we worrying about the amount of calories in a fortune cookie when we should be worrying about how long this war will last. we should be worrying about the media control of information and influnce on the up coming election. we should be worrying about the patriot act. we should be worrying about the war crimes our president has committed. not some stupid cookie. i mean... how about we skip the cookie and not worry about the calories... whew... now we've handled that emergency
