Does it help that Mitt Romney is HOT?
I just overheard some women chatting at lunch today about the "hotness" of Governor Mitt Romney. Will that help him in this election? All of the polls and newscasters are predicting Senator John McCain to win the most delegates today, Super Tuesday. Hmmm. Maybe Mitt's sexiness will help him pull ahead.
I just bring up the question, because the chatty ladies put it in my head. I do agree though, that Romney is a looker. If I were a single lady and he were a single man.......I'd let him take me to lunch. But, that doesn't really sway me. I'm not that type of voter. I actually think extremely highly of both candidates. I do find it funny in fact, that Mitt's looks haven't been a topic.
Remember how John Edwards was classified as a "pretty boy"? He's fine, I guess. But maybe a 6 on a scale of 1-10. Right? Mitt's more like an 8.5. McCain's a really cute oldish man now, but more of a stud in his younger years though. And on the Democratic side....Obama's pretty attractive. Hillary, not so much.
Of course this shouldn't count. And I do not endorse voting for any Presidential candidate based on looks. That would be insane. The ladies made me curious though. Do you think the candidates appearance will be a factor?

I doubt Americans are dumb enough to vote for someone based solely on appearance, but then again, the masses are often swayed by charismatic speakers, regardless of their views. To me Romney has a Richie Rich air about him that dissuades me from voting for him (if it were based solely on looks), but that's just my opinion...

Everyday Americans don't usually give much thought to voting for a "hot" candidate while they're trying to figure out how they're going to pay for health care, gas and groceries. If you don't have those issues to worry about, it's a free country and you have the freedom to vote for any old "hot" candidate you choose...and for any reason. But Romney? Nah..... Too slick for me.

Well, there is actually a genetic built-in preference for symmetrical features, among other things. Just wanted to bring that up - it is a "subliminal" advantage he has, I guess...:P
