When your under-stuff needs rehab
Categories: Womens Health, Diet & Weight Loss, Motivation
Oprah has all the bases covered when it comes to feel-good stuff. She's the queen of giving, and gratitude, and good books, and now . . . underwear.
Yes, underwear is good for the soul, ladies. Well, good underwear is. But how many of us have good foundation garments? Are your outdated and faded panties stuffed in a drawer alongside your other mismatched goods? Do your bras work for your body type and shape? How about your gym gear -- does that job bra accomplish its intended function? If you answered "yes," "no," and "no," then your undergarments may need a swift trip to rehab.

I don't trust Oprah. She lauds all of these awesome things, and I buy them (not from her recommendation), and they're usually not all that great.
I'd love nothing more than a matching bra/panty set, but the likelihood of that ever happening is next to none. If pretty underthings help people feel pretty, then thanks to the industry, I am doomed to a life of ugliness.
Maybe I will learn to sew.

I wear a weird bra size that most stores don't carry, so I have to order them through catalogs and specialty stores. Because of the hassle, and because I've been pg and/or breastfeeding for the last 4 1/2 years, I've not been very good about replacing my undergarments.
It does make a huge difference - to me anyway - if I'm wearing nice, pretty, maybe matching underthings, but it's something I don't do often. I have put on my list to buy some new bras, though, as now that my son is nearing 2, and I'm not nursing very often, I think I need a different size bra. *sigh*
And just yesterday I went through my drawer and threw away a bunch of old underwear to be replaced by newer, prettier ones!
