Time for you to be the motivator!

Name: George O'Neal

Age: 54

Occupation: Retired USAF; and am now a full-time grandparent.

How often do you exercise? Seven days a week.

What type of exercise do you do? Seven days: One hour of cardio on an elliptical machine. Six days: Weights (no weights on Sundays).

What gets you to workout, even when you're feeling lazy? I've exercised daily since October 1, 1973. It's simply part of my day.

What's on your MP3 player? Don't own one, but I have a CD player/radio near my elliptical machine. I mostly listen to jazz or classical.

Favorite healthy food? Oatmeal cookies (This probably sounds weird. But I have a sweet tooth and my wife makes a great healthy oatmeal cookie, which I eat instead of other much less healthy sweets.)

Favorite not-so-healthy food? Pizza

Greatest fitness accomplishment? When I began exercising in 1973, I weighed 220 pounds (I'm 6'2'). I dropped 40 pounds in six months, and have only gained back 10 pounds since.

Best fitness advice? Make exercise a part of your day, like eating and sleeping. You'll thank yourself when you get older, and your quality of life remains high.
