How often do you exercise? Every day, although I occasionally force myself to take a day off to allow my body some "silence" -- this is what the folks at my gym say for the word "rest."

What type of exercise do you do? I run and walk, lift some weights, hover in the plank position, make attempts at push-ups, and most recently: Play on my new BOSU toy!

What gets you to workout, even when you're feeling lazy? A few things: The thought of calories sneaking up on me, the thought of cancer sneaking back up on me, and the thought of my cranky mood if I don't huff and puff and sweat.

What's on your MP3 player? Kanye West, Pink, Nickelback, and more.

Favorite healthy food? A big fruit salad.

Favorite not-so-healthy food? Bread and butter.

Biggest fitness accomplishment? Running in a few 5K races and realizing I once couldn't run around the block.

Best fitness advice? Exercise is good for losing weight, but it's also good for so much more -- it's good for your heart, your bones and muscles, your mental health, your energy level, your sleep, and so much more!
