I'll trade you my snack pack for your cashews

The rage in "healthy" snacking these days are the 100-calorie snack packs. Cupcakes, cookies, crackers you name it ... they come in what savvy food manufactures are calling fit or healthy sizes. The problem is, as a Brown University study shows, they won't stop you from overeating.
Researchers discovered that people ate the same amount of cookies or crackers, regardless of the size of the bag that they came in. Basically, people tend to throw back two, three, four, or even five of the 100-calorie packs, which of course is no different than eating several servings from a large, multi-serving pack.
The researchers also found that the biggest influence on what people ate was evidently based on what foods (and in what amount) they kept in their house. WebMD lists several 100-calorie snacks that are far healthier than any amount of cupcakes or cookies could ever be. Check out the list HERE.
