Did Dr. Oz give Vodka for Christmas?

Kinda yes. Kinda no. Dr. Oz recently became worried about all of the plastic he and his family of six were using while drinking tons of bottled water. Instead, he became creative and ordered some vodka infusion jugs that are handmade from 100% recycled glass. The bottles are fairly large and quite pretty. He fills the jugs with both water and some sort of fruit slices like lemon or lime.
The jugs end up looking like a decorative piece, and because they're gorgeous...end up reminding his four children to drink lots of water. Since he's such a fan of the jugs, Dr. Oz told me he was going to give them out as gifts this year. I wonder if his buddy Oprah received one for Christmas.
Such a neat idea, right? The gift is earth friendly, pretty, functional, and will encourage your friends to drink more H2O. The jugs come in a wide variety of sizes and prices start as low as thirty dollars.
When I spoke with Dr. Oz, a few weeks ago for my Celebrity Fitzness Report interview with him, he was just gushing about these jugs. He actually got some extra pep in his voice as he was telling me about them. I imagine if he did give one to Oprah, they'll end up as one of her "Favorite Things", and then we'll all have one.

That does sound like a nifty idea. I was staying at a friends' house, watchign it for them for a weekend while they were out of town. They have to drink bottled water at their house because their water was 'skunky'. I was shocked about how many bottles I'd drink in a day and wished they'd had had something bigger like a jug instead of all those little bottles. One of those jugs would be so cool to give them!

I think that is a great idea. Not only is he doing something healthy for his friends and family, he is doing healthy things for the planet..and they are gorgeous.
I am also for shopping green and using less gas. I do most of my non-food shopping online at an omline shopping mall that features a whole section of green shops in addtion to over 100 other stores (including Old Navy, Macy's, The Gap, Target)I save gas, and money as I get back 4-55% on my purchases.

Drinking water is great way to stay hydrated and also to save money. Instead of buying pre-packaged additives to put in your water, slices of citrus fruit perks up your water.

...and the water he put in the glass jar came out of what? I don't see bottled water in anything but plastic. So is the glass jug for shortening the time the water is in a plastic bottle?

Good Idea: Not using a bunch of disposible bottles. But then try being poor. Buy that 1 Evian bottle or what ever designer bottle and refill it...No need to have a fresh bottle every drink you take.
Bad Idea: The design makes it look your indoctrinating your wee ones into a lifetime of boozing. You do know that liquor companies spend billions on how best to market their junk. they know what shapes and colors to use...That's why Oz had such success filling the item with water, it's a design that makes people swill, what ever may be in it.
Dr Oz I got GREAT idea let's just get used wine bottles and drink out of them.....They are glass after all! ;-). In fact let's drive the police nuts, we'll all conver to old liquor bottles to use in our cars and drink our water out of them...LET'S ALL TAKE A BIG DRINK EVERY TIME A COP GOES BY...Hich!

I like to fill my vodka fusion bottles with gin and add a nice bunch of olives in it. It actually appears more decorative as I drink it. And since I sometimes put my cigar down for more than 5 minutes, plastic has no place in my world. All my ashtrays are 100% glass.

80 proof vodka is 60% water... OZ always sounds like he's drank his water for the day when he's on the show

I like to fill my vodka infusion bottles with Qino One Vodka, the first vodka made from fair trade organic quinoa www.qino1vodka.com. Then we add lemon, lime or quince and let it sit to make a tasty home made drink.
