Fish oil prevents plaque in Alzheimer's patients
Categories: Vitamins and Supplements, Nutrition & Supplements
UCLA researchers this week said that we all need a fish oil fatty acid to ensure we have the internal tools to make a plaque-fighting protein that could help prevent Alzheimer's Disease. That's comforting -- but if you can afford it, a good supplement regimen of Omega-3 oils is great for just about everyone from teenage years up.
Specifically, choose a fish oil product with plenty of DHA, which was found to stimulate the brain into making more of a brain protein called LR11 that is associated with Alzheimer's Disease.

I used to take a flaxseed pill and fishoil pill in the morning and night (including a vitamin supp at night), then I quit the fish oil pill when I discovered how YUMMY fish really is. (I used to NEVER eat fish, but now I eat sushi and salmon/tilapia all the time). I feel better with it.

On one side are millions of people suffering with
Alzheimers.
On the other side are 50 million caregivers in the U.S. who take care of them without proper training and
preparation.
In the middle is a woman on a mission.
Bonnie McGovern is a leading advocate for caregivers
caring for a loved one. Shes written a book titled Taking Care of Barbara A Journey Through Life
and Alzheimers and 29 Insights for Caregivers.
The book was inspired by a real life story Bonnie
experienced while caring for her sister 10 years.
In the book readers will learn:
* Secrets to maintaining the patients hygiene
* An amazing strategy on how the caregiver can stay
healthy (40% of caregivers die before the person they
care for)
* What are the 3 stages of Alzheimers
* What are the 2 most important documents caregivers
must have
* What to do when a loved one passes over
