Bionic people: Not as far-fetched as you think
Categories: Reviews & Products
The concept of mechanically engineered and technologically enhanced human beings (what a mouthful) is not a new one -- the character "The Bionic Woman" has been around since the 1970s. Most of us picture that kind of technology to be way off in the future somewhere, but in many ways it's here and possible today. Doctors can reconstruct your spine with steel vertebrae, use lasers to repair broken bones, and eliminate wrinkles with energy waves, to name just a few possibilities. But sorry, no running faster than a speeding car available...yet.
