Daily Fit Tip: Exercise those legs while sitting at your desk

A friend of mine recently told me of a great way to exercise those normally-unused legs while sitting behind that desk all day at work. It sounds simple, but is a great way to get some exercise and burn calories while not looking like you're doing much at all.

The trick: get some exercise sandbags and attach them to your shoed-feet while working on that spreadsheet or proposal and life them up and down, using at least a few sets of 30+ reps or so.

What a great idea, since hardly anyone else ever sees under your desk. You can keep your "exercise bags" there all the time and use them a few times a day to get an "under-desk" workout while working on your normal work. Try it today, and let those legs get some relief from being sedentary. It'll be easier than trying to get your Bowflex up into your office, right?
