My Fit List to Santa

Categories: Fitness

Dear Santa,

How are you? I hope you're keeping warm up there in the north pole. Have you lost weight? You look great!

I thought I'd take a moment to give you my Christmas list. I hope you don't think that presumptuous of me; honestly, I'd be happy with anything, but 2008 is the year I've vowed to get in the best shape of my life and here are a few things I would love to have. I've been very good this year--in fact, I've gone to the gym at least three times a week all year! Well, except for that vacation in Australia, but otherwise, I've been on my best behavior.
  • A new set of knees. Mine are OK, I guess, but they're no good for running, and I love running.
  • Heck, if you're going to get me the knees, why not throw in a treadmill too? That way, I could really take advantage of this running thing.
  • A six pack -- and not of beer, if you catch my drift ...
  • The ability to meditate. It's a real problem in yoga class -- I just can't seem to slow my mind down!
  • Speaking of yoga, it's been 3 years and I still can't do a headstand. Can you help with this?
  • The willpower to turn down the freshly-baked cookies at mum's house.
  • Enough positive self-image to feel gorgeous even when I'm bloated, full of zits and having a bad hair day.
I realize these aren't things that can be built in the workshop by your elves, but anything you can do to help me out would be appreciated!

xoxo,
Martha
