J-Lo not happy with her pregnancy weight gain?
After what seems like years speculation and dreaded 'baby bump' watches, Jennifer Lopez finally admitted she was pregnant, much to the delight of many fans. But with the joyful glow of pregnancy comes another concern to someone who is in the public eye: weight gain. According to this article, while J-lo is excitedly anticipating the new addition to her family, she is less than impressed with the weight gain that goes along with it. She's apparently gained 42lbs already and has vowed to do a 'Victoria Beckham' by hiding away until after the birth, when she's back in shape.
What do you think -- is it normal to loathe weight gain, or should she try to appreciate her pregnancy?

weight gain sucks, even when you are pregnant. your body goes through so many changes, and even though it's all worth it in the end, the weight is just an ugly part of being pregnant.

So self centered. Who care if she gains weight? Actually, it may improve her appearance. She does not strike me as a very "clean" person, but that is another issue altogether.

I had 5 children and my Dr. only allowed a weight gain of 20 lbs. I left the hospital in my street clothes and my 1st son weighed 9 lbs. 13 oz. I did not get veins or half the problems other people had. You can not stuff yourself just because you are pregnant. I was told that the baby does not stick his hand out at the dinner table and grab food it would be me.

Too many women worry too much about their weight gain during pregnancy. I was under a doctor's very watchful eye, yet gained 69 lbs during my first pregnancy. I was back to my normal weight, a size 10, within six weeks of delivery. My weight gain for five other children was between 28 to 48 lbs and each time went back down immediately. I do exercise AFTER delivery, but not for several weeks. My size never varied. I think dieting is not good for the baby, or the mother. I always just ate sensibly. I also believe that weight varies for the sex of the baby. My two highest gains were with girls. Yet I appeared to be ''smaller''. My babies weighed 7.5 to 8 lbs. My largest and smallest babies were the two girls.

Weight gain should not be a concern for most women. I have four children- 2 boys and 2 girls. They each weighed between 8 and 9 lbs. I gained between 30 to 45 lbs. with each of them. I think this weight gain is a healthy amount. I did breast feed each baby between 12 -14 months. I did not ever diet or exercise excessively after having my kids. I started out at 5 ft. 8 in tall and weighing 112 lbs. I kept 5 lbs. with each baby. So after the 4th- my normal weight now is 132 lbs. I must say that I sure look better than I did at 112 lbs. JLO needs to enjoy her prenancy without obsessing over a few extra pounds!! Best wishes to their family!!!

If she wants to bounce back from pregnancy like a 25-year-old, she waited too long to have babies. The older you are, the less likely you'll look as good as you did before the baby.
