Although wintertime is upon us, allergies are still lingering in the systems of many people. This time, it's not pollen in the air, but it's components of the things we eat and the places we visit.Alisa Smith of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology says that "Whether it's feasting on holiday meals, setting up your Christmas tree, or visiting your pet-owning relatives, allergy triggers may be lurking inside of our warm, cozy homes this time of year." This is true -- we visit places and do things this time of year that we don't do any other time of the year.
That right there can be an asthma trigger and can invite allergies as well. I don't know about you, but a lack of time during the holidays makes it easy to forget about staying healthy. Your body, though, will remind you if you forget.
