FDA opens public debate on salt content of processed foods

Posted on Dec 3rd 2007 5:33PM by Brian White
After the FDA said that it was considering regulating the sodium content in recent weeks, the Federal Food and Drug Administration no says that it will listen to the American public speak out on the matter.

The high sodium content of almost all processed foods sold in the U.S. has not been a secret for a long time. It's what makes 'dead' foods taste good and we eat entirely too much of it.

What do you think? Should the FDA limit sodium amounts in all processed foods, give more information on sodium content on food labels or keep its neck out of the private processed food business completely?
