Dance Dance Party Party for gals

I spent over two hours on the dance floor last night at my husband's work holiday party. Yes, I was moving my body, but I felt constrained by a form-fitting fancy blouse that would untuck if I raised my arms and high-heeled boots that had me worried I'd re-rupture the achilles tendon I had surgically repaired six months ago. I broke a negligible sweat.
A group of gals in several big cities are aware glamour undermines inhibition-free, cardio-stoking dance moves. Dance Dance Party Party (DDPP) is a new weekly dance/exercise class where you arrive in a sports bra and athletic gear for 90 minutes of grooving sandwiched between a warm-up and cool-down.
New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and Austin offer DDPP chapters, with more opening soon. Check out DDPP's city blogs for words, playlists, video and inspiration to start a chapter in your own city! I hope DDPP locations have mirrors. We all need to experiment with our inner Flashdance moves and see how our style looks within a safe haven that carries only one rule -- no judgments of anyone else or yourself!
