What you eat influences the sex of your baby
When it comes to cravings, are you more of a sweet or salty person? It seems like a fairly frivilous question, but it could affect the gender of your future children. Seriously! It seems like an old wives tale but recent studies have proved that there might be some merit to this. Here's the deal: If you crave things like salty snacks and red meat, your more likely to produce a boy. But, if you crave sweets and tend to eat more chocolate and sugary snacks, you're more likely to have a girl. Kind of gives meaning to the old nursery rhyme: Sugar and spice and everything nice, that's what girls are made of; snakes and snails and puppy dog tails, that's what boys are made of.
What do you think about these results?

That is BS! I craved just about everything sweet with both of my kids. My son couldn't be more of boy and my daughter is all princess!

This is a terrible interpretation of this data. As a correlation, it means that one is more likely to crave certain foods depending on the sex of the baby. It does not mean that eating certain foods will alter the gender of your child which is determined by the sex chromosomes at conception. To even suggest that eating sweet food will influence the sex of a baby is idiotic. It merely indicates whether you are more likely to have a girl or a boy.

that is absolutely not true! it was the opposite case for my mother. more than anything, she craved chocolate during my brothers pregnancy! and she said she didn't crave sweets during her pregnancy with me at all, just cheese.

I think in truth, you need a new editor. The title, "What you Eat Influences the Sex of Your Baby" is misguiding and incorrect. Someone should've caught that & replaced "Influences" with "May Help Determine"...
The sex of your baby is determined at conception.

Where the gender is more likely to be girl vs. boy is when the diet sweet vs. salty is in the woman's body priot to and at the time of conception ... not what cravings she has during the pregnancy. The science has to do with the gender of sperm fairing better in the sweet or salty environment. This idea has been around for years. Although it's not 100% foolproof, I do believe this method as well as timing (closer to ovulation for boys) to be the most effective and valid methods I've read in gender selection.

Ridiculous. What you eat doesn't "affect" the sex of your child. That's determined at conception; does the sperm carry an x- or y-chromosome? Those "researchers" should have learned that in basic sex education, or at least in high school health class.
