Nicotine-reduced smokes may make it easier to quit
A U.S. study this week found that giving smokers cigarettes with decreasing amounts of nicotine -- over time -- made it easier for them to curb their nicotine addiction. As with all drugs, gradual declines are better for most than a "cold turkey" approach of rapid cessation.
Would you be willing to try smoking cigarettes with a gradual lowering of nicotine levels if it meant the pain of quitting was lessened quite a bit? To many smokers, that would be a welcome way to try and stop quitting.

Hi Jessie -- not sure these products are even on the market yet. This post was in reference to a study, but I hope (as you do) that it spawns actual products that will indeed help people quit smoking.
Regards,
Brian

Reduction of nicotine content in expensive cigerettes can only help to make less expensive smokeless products more attractive. Even presidential runner has discovered
smokeless products.

It will be interesting to see if they work! Sounds like it willo slowly drain the addiciton down to a habit, and though habits are hard to break it has to be easier without the chemical addicition thrown in.

I think it would be a great idea to make cigarettes with less nicotine so that people have an easier time quitting smoking. I would like more information about where I can purchase this new product. Thanks...Jessie
