Working in the Workouts: Make use of the mall

Posted on Nov 16th 2007 6:00AM by Deanna Glick
Most people are cruising the malls already looking for stuff to buy to give to other people, put in their mouths or scatter about their home to collect dust during the month of December. I've got a better idea. Make it you and your toddler's winter time track. Whiz past the stores with stroller in tow fast enough to break a sweat and burn calories instead of holes in your pockets of cash.

There are big benefits to making use of the mall for workouts: bathrooms with changing tables, endless supply of snacks for Squirt available at the food court, strollers are commonplace (not so next to the StairMaster at your gym), indoor playgrounds for your young one to burn off a little more steam before nap time, and of course temperature control when it's in the 50s or below outside.

And I guess it's OK if you get a little shopping done too while you're there. Just don't make it too expensive of a workout session.
