Lava Bar the world's first liquid chocolate bar
I don't know about you but during the days when I ate chocolate, I thoroughly enjoyed savoring each and every bite. The enjoyment I got from tasting, chewing, and swallowing chocolate is what kept me coming back for more. Not knowing when to call it quits is the very reason I've given up the habit of eating this sweet treat. But that's just me.For those who still indulge -- and those who don't care for the actual eating of chocolate -- the Lava Bar™ may be in store. It's new. It's unique. It's the world's first liquid chocolate bar.
The Lava Bar™ comes in a flexible film, foil-lined squeezable pouch containing 2.5 oz. (approx. 70 grams) of gourmet, molten Lava Chocolate™. Just tear open the perforation at the top of the pouch and it's as easy as squeezing that chocolate right into your mouth. Each packet comes complete with two servings, each with 140 calories, eight grams of fat, and 13 grams of sugar.
This is no chocolate syrup I'm talking about. Nope. It's a pre-melted chocolate bar, perfect for chocolate lovers everywhere. Well, not for me. If chocolate was still on my menu, I'd want the real deal. How about you?
Also: Craving chocolate? You may be neurotic.

Cacao melts at 30-35ºC (sorry I'm european) that's almost our body temperature (36ºC), that's why it slowly melts in your mouth. Don't really know what they put in that bar but i guess the % of cacao is pretty limited.

This wasn't just invented. Endurance athletes have been using little packets like this for a while. We call them energy gels.

Whoever writes this column needs to take a class in English Grammar and spelling. I would be embarrassed to say I wrote this.

I agree with you. I'd rather have a dove square and let it melt in my mouth. Takes longer to eat, eat less and enjoy longer..Love those Dove Promises. Tell it like it is #6, very funny

Anyone who lives in a warm climate, or for that matter where there is a "summer" season, has already experienced eating a melted chocolate bar that's been left on the seat of their the car! I guess they came up with the name "Lava" thinking that the hot mass that flows down a volcano is supposed to be enticing and appetizing. What about the "lavalamp" -- oooh all bubbly inside the heated oil. But I've never wanted to taste that. Ahhh but I digress. This candy is already on the shelves at the Dollar Stores and Big Lots because the "regular" stores, aka, markets and convenience stores, can't sell them. What I do like, however, is the Hershey's Chocolate Syrup that's in the squeeze bottle. Mmmhmmm

Uhhhh ... Hershey's Syrup comes to mind. I've had some in my fridge for years & no one's ever accused me of having a bar of chocolate in the door of it.

Jacki is not much of a journalist - can't even correct this statement -
"Not knowing when it call it quits is the very reason I've given up the habit of eating this sweet treat."
AND...
If she gave it up, didn't even try the stuff, how can she write about it? It would have been a much better article written by someone more articulate who wasn't so negative!!

Chocolate bars start out as a liquid. All they did was eliminate one step in the process that solidifies the chocolate. I don't colnsume a lot of chocolate, but I do like it solid. If I wanted it in liquid form, I'd got out and buy a bottle of Hershey's syrup.
