Man loses 87 pounds after becoming tired of being overweight

It's always satisfying to hear of a person take control of his or her life and lose a significant amount of weight on the road to a better and healthier life.

Tim Welch, a 37 year-old from Seattle states his case which probably sounds very familiar to many of us: "I remember specifically in 1995, my waist size went from a 34 [inches] to a 38 in a matter of months."

When something that drastic happens, what do you do? Exercise and watch what you eat? Unless you measure everything in fine detail on the way to losing weight (and stick by your own, appropriate rules), you're bound to slip up and repeat the pattern, slippery-slope style. Nor for Welch, though. This is a great example of someone who made the decision to change and then did just that.
