Drug-coated stents are north worth the trouble using in many patients according to research out of Switzerland this pas week. While such stents are useful in patients with narrowly constricted arteries, an 18-month study showed that the value for the money figure for drug-coated stents was really not that good when used for general arterial usage outside of the patient condition of narrow arteries.
Stents are still a relatively new procedure all things considered, and this research will most likely open up medical expert dialog on the efficacy of these devices. What's your opinion?
