Lose weight eating anything ... even burritos!
Categories: Diet & Weight Loss
There's a long list of things you should cut out of your diet if you're trying to lose weight, but the truth is that you could eat virtually anything and as long as you only at a certain amount of it, you could lose weight. So, if you wanted to eat nothing but pizza, as long as you ate only 1200-calories worth of pizza a day, you could theoretically lose weight. Lots of people have capitalized on this idea. An ex-contestant on the Apprentice developed a diet of nothing but bagels; Jared the Subway guy lived off of sandwiches; This guy in Sweden is losing weight eating hamburgers everyday; and then there's the subject of this post, Justin, who is losing weight by eating only one chipotle burrito a day -- and at 1,330 calories, that chipotle burrito is the only thing he can eat if he wants to lose weight.
Is this the smartest way to lose weight? My answer is no, particularly since none of these 'diets' include exercise and I doubt they can be sustained in the long run, but at least these people have found something that works for them. What do you think?

I was disappointed you didn't mention the UofK "shake it off diet"! It's very simple: 3 diet shakes a day, coupled with 2 diet meals under 180 calories each (Like Lean Cuisine, Healthy Choice, etc), 5 servings of fruit or veggies, plus 30 minutes of exercise. Do this as a lifestyle change and you will lose 40 pounds over a 12 week span - not have to worry about what to eat and not have to know how to cook (or take the time to anymore)! What I've really enjoyed = as I hit my target weight (and I'm a chocoholic at heart) I have thrown in 1/4 cup of whatever chocolate I want each day - (like chocolate covered peanuts, raisens, or gummy bears). Because I'm so good with what I do every day, all year - I can choose my favorite thing and instead of "giving that one thing up" it's the one thing I choose to enjoy! (But - I wouldn't let myself have that luxury until I hit my target weight! This is a diet that lets you eat PLENTY - and it's sooooo easy to follow! Look it up online - it's called the University of Kentucky "Shake it up" Diet. Good luck to anyone who tries it! I swear by it now.

the U of K diet is at this site...
www.hmrprogram.com
it was in the August issue of Woman's world.
I haven't tried it...but thinking about it.
I have lost 24 pounds in 3 months by eating 1400 calories a day & running 5 miles on my treadmill 3-4 times a week.
this diet seems pretty healthy if the results are really that good...we'll see.
