Evil trigger foods! The top 5
Categories: Diet & Weight Loss
Oooooooh, the evil "trigger" foods...we all have them and we all love to hate them. They're the foods that are usually found in your diet somewhere right before, or right during, a fall off the dieting and healthy eating bandwagon. Either that, or they take a sneakier role and fool you into thinking you're eating healthy (the baked potato is famous for this move) when you're really not. We all have our own particular triggers but there's no denying that some trigger foods are common to the majority of people:Ice cream
Baked potatoes
Pizza
Pie
Baked potatoes
Pizza
Pie
Cheese
Are some (or all?) of these foods on your list of triggers? I have to admit yes to all of those for me, plus add Doritos and Jelly Belly jelly beans!

Actually baked potatoes are very healthy for you. Potatoes are loaded wth fiber/magnesium/zinc.
It is all the bacon, salt, cheeder cheese, sour cream and butter that you put on them that makes them unhealthy.

Yup! For me, the trigger foods are anything that come in small enough pieces/packages that I can think "If I only eat one, that's still okay." Except it's never just one...

NO, baked potatoes are not at all healthy! They are full of carbs. Carbs that your body easily metabolizes into sugar, and which is subsequently stored as fat. Only sweet potatoes are high in fiber. The typical brown/white potato is nothing but junk! There are very few vitamins or minerals in them.

a baked potato has more potassium than a banana or most fruits. It has a lot going for it. Just don't load it up with other things like butter and sour cream.

Every food contracts the next. TGhey say eat a lot of fish to help ward off Alzheimer's, but if you should stay away from fish because certain kinds can cause cancer or high blood pressure or whatever. My grandparents are well into their 70's, and my great grandmother is 95 and still spry and moving. Their times didn't consist of over-analyzing absolutely everything in life, and they turned out all-right. If you can enjoy life, then why live it?

It all boils down to portions- eat less, lose weight. Simple as that.
