Catherine Zeta-Jones says: "I'm not anorexic"
Categories: Diet & Weight Loss, Celebs & Entertainment
Martha told us just recently in her post Stay-slim secrets of Catherine Zeta-Jones that the beautifully slender actress is no friend of the diet craze and keeps her figure in tip-top shape with a healthy lifestyle that includes gym workouts, dancing, aerobics -- and sometimes even a little pasta.Fast forward one week, and Zeta-Jones is now responding to questions about a recent weight loss that some say is linked to an eating disorder.
Do I look anorexic?" Zeta-Jones told PEOPLE on Saturday at the Savannah Film Festival. "How could I ever, ever be anorexic?"
While her eating habits have changed a bit -- she's cut back on her favorite indulgence: bread -- and she's working out more, she declares there's just no validity to the rumors that she's anorexic. Is she concerned about the attention given to women's weight? Yes. But is her own weight a problem? According to her, no.

WHY IS EVERYONE GETTING SO SUPER THIN!! I DON'T KNOW IF SHE HAS ANOREXIA OR NOT BUT I DO SEE A GROWING TREND OF PEOPLE WHO LOOKED HEALTHY TAKE A BIG WEIGHT LOSS AND LOOK UNDERNOURISHED. I HOPE IT ISN'T A EATING DISORDER, SO MANY STARS ARE FALLEN VICTIM TO THE WEIGHT GAME IN HOLLYWOOD. (WHO CAN BE THE THINNEST)

I agree, Ann ! It seems the healthy looking role models we see in Hollywood eventually end up getting thinner and thinner. Maybe it's the pressure of their jobs to fit a certain mold -- I sure wouldn't want such a job -- or the pressure of society.
Thanks for your comment!

I know one way she stays thin is by smoking like a chimney. We were on vacation and they were staying nearby, and she lit up one after the other. She's so beautiful and her children are so young, it's a shame. I know it's a terribly hard habit to break.

I think its funny how we live in a world where most people kill themselves trying to follow the "trend" of "whats in style". I don't think Catherine Zeta is anorexic, but with these other stars, I find it pathetic what they do to ruin their careers, whether it be being wayyy too skinny, or shaving their heads, losing there sons, going to rehab, and last but not least, screwing up a performance.....If a celebrity is real celebrity, they should be able to pull of anything, and I mean anything....and if they cant do that, then we should be call them a "CelebriShity"

Why is it, that everytime a celeb loses weight she is being accused of being anorexic? Also, why is it when she does lose weight, women have an issue.
In this day where obesity is a major problem in US, we should be talking MORE about how Americans are overweight. Focus more on that people.

Well I look at it like this it all depends on your body structure and how you carry your weight. I am a big boned person and I lost alot of weight and i looked horrible, people said I looked sick. Now mind you I put on the weight and I look hell of lot better. I do excercise and eat healthy but everything ain't fo everybody a, as long as you are happy and feel good do you and quit trying to live up to everyones expectations.I lopkked horrible as an 8 and great as a sz 16 and don't judge you never have seen me I am more muscule than fat can't pinch an inch and I am 5'8''. WELL EVERYONE HAVE A BLESS DAY.

Funny! 20 years ago the average american was 20-35 pounds less than today! Right now the amount of obese people in America is greater than that of people with good Body Mass Index. The fashion industry even keeps making sizes bigger so people can feel better about themselves. Did you know Marilyn Monroe wore a size 14...Yes it’s true— she wore a size 14. A VINTAGE size 14, that is. I collect vintage clothing, and I, wear a vintage size 10. But I wear a size 4 in modern clothing. Back then the sizes were different! Her measurements were
Height: 5 feet, 5½ inches
Weight: 118-140 pounds
Bust: 35-37 inches
Waist: 22-23 inches
Hips: 35-36 inches
I am 5'5 and weigh 125 which is a perfect BMI according to medical charts. But alot of people are always telling me I am thin, like it is a topic of everyday conversation. Of course these are people who have a great tire around their butts and stomachs lol.
And for all you women who say men want a chunker...I get more compliments on my looks than I know what to do with.

Wow, Marta. Can I be you when I grow up? (eyeroll)
Someone as secure as you shouldn't feel the need to sing her own praises on a stupid comment section of a gossip article.

she's no longer as pretty as she was before the weight loss. I used to wish I looked like her... she was incredibly beautiful. now she looks like every other plastic woman in hollywood. too bad, Katherine.. you were exceptional before, now you're just one of the crowd.
