The level of steps needed to prevent many diseases and ailments can sometime be shockingly simple. If only many people had the willpower and wherewithal to really control what they do, in spite of mental tricks and physical temptations.In the latest edition of that thinking, new research shows that women could cut their heart attack risk by over 92 percent by taking up just five lifestyle habits. They are below.
- Sounds familiar, but eat plenty of veggies, fruit, fish, whole grains, and legumes
- Drink a moderate amount of alcohol
- Ensure your waist is more trim that your hips
- Walk or bike for 40 minutes daily and find other ways to get moderate exercise
- Lastly, don't smoke (well, duh!)

My question is, what's a moderate amount of alcohol? All the studies I've read before say that women shouldn't have more than 7 drinks weekly. But is the maximum? If so, what's a moderate amount? 3-4 drinks weekly?
