Nike's 'I'm not a runner' ad (Video)

I recently came across this commerical from Nike, which starts off with the words "I'm not a runner." Take a look at it:

What do you think? Me, I'm not a fan. It's somewhat funny, yes, but there are more ways to get rid of man boobs than running, and I think that if someone takes up a running routine solely for the purpose of keeping trim, they won't stick to it. If you ask me, not everyone is cut out to be a runner but the commercial seems to say otherwise -- that anyone can take up running to trim down. Do you agree or no?

While I am a runner, there's always a part in my run where I think, "Jesus, what the hell am I doing? This stinks! I should just quit." But I push myself a little further, and, at the end, I feel great. And I think this ad is saying something along those lines: it's painful, it's difficult, but it's worth it. I mean, after all, you gotta start somewhere.

I think it's hilarious! And this kind of thing really works for me on the inevitable days when I just don't feel like working out, because it's not all about having fun. There are bigger issues at stake -- like my health and yes, looking good!
