How to schedule a low-stress day
Posted on Oct 22nd 2007 12:30PM by Bethany SandersThere's always someone out there suggesting when you should exercise: before breakfast, after breakfast, in the morning, in the evening, never right before bedtime. There may be some truth to those claims, but I think the best time to schedule regular exercise is at a time of day when you know you'll get it done -- every day.
There may be a science to scheduling a smooth-running day, however, at least according to Women's Heath. For instance, if you shave your legs in the morning when your blood clots more easily, you're less likely to need a bandage if you nick yourself. And since your liver metabolizes alcohol more efficiently in the late afternoon, it's the best time to go for a happy hour drink. Buying shoes in the morning is a recipe for blisters and foot pain. Instead, buy them after your early evening workout, when your feet are at their largest.
It isn't always possible to schedule your activities around your needs, but these helpful tips might help you fix a few of the more common snags!
