Rachael Ray: The new spokesperson for Dunkin' Donuts?
Categories: Celebs & Entertainment
Dunkin' Donuts has a new spokesperson -- none other than celebrity chef Racheal Ray. The donut chain is re-vamping it's image and trying to get known for more than just donuts, and they're doing it with Rachael's help; In fact, she'll even be developing a beverage line.
Not everyone sees that as an ideal union, though. Anthony Bourdain, for one, thinks that Rachael's choice is a huge mistake and an irresponsible one at that: "I'm guessing she's not hurting for money," Bourdain has been quoted as saying. "She's hugely influential, particularly with children. And she's endorsing Dunkin' Donuts. It's like endorsing crack for kids."
What do you think? Will this move help bring about healthy changes at Dunkin' Donuts, or is she essentially lending her support to the obesity expidemic?

I look at it this way. If she weren't meant to have the success she's had, there would be no Rachel Ray. Oh I also think if she falls on her face, she'll recover !!!!!

Rachel Ray endorsing donuts is like endorsing crack for kids?! Come on, crack is much worse than donuts! Eating donuts very sparingly will not hurt a healthy person, but using crack, even sparingly, can KILL anyone. One or two donuts every once in awhile won't hurt a person if they have regular exercise habits and a healthy diet. Sugars and fats and necessary, but of course in moderation.

I respect Rachel and think that if Dunkin Donuts is trying to revamp their menu or point out their healthier products, I am sure that she would have gone into discussions before commiting. As you say she's not hurting for money so I think she'd be responsible here. I mean look at McDonald's and Wendy's both trying to push healthier menus....some stigmas will always apply however.
