Dove's latest attack on the beauty industry
Dove is well-known for their hard-hitting commercials, which attempt to expose the superficiality of the beauty industry -- and do quite well at it, if you ask me. They have a new commercial out that's being talked about ... a lot.

Very well made commercial. I notice at the end (when they show the URL) that it's a British commercial -- I seriously doubt that it could ever make it on U.S t.v. (because of the boobies and the generally litigious nature of our culture).
At the same time I'm a little irritated ... isn't a company that makes soap and body wash and anti-aging face cream and hair products actually a PART of the beauty industry? Even the so-called "average" women they've used in their campaigns are actually fairly attractive, and even the so-called "fat" ones are still on the smaller side of heavy. I agree with the mission of what the Dove fund is doing -- trying to raise girls' self-esteem around the world. But it's sort of like those "Keep your kids from smoking" commercials made by Philip Morris.
