Good pregnancy workout: Swimming
I told you yesterday about how running might not be the best workout if you're expecting, since intense aerobic activity has been linked to miscarriages. But you know what is a great exercise for pregnant women? Swimming. And Olympian Janet Evans is proof that it's a safe and effective workout for soon-to-be moms. She tells People, "I swam throughout my pregnancy and basically 10 days after she was born. Swimming throughout the pregnancy really kept me fit and made it easier. And my OB said it was the best thing that I could do."
So just because your with child, doesn't mean you should indulge in 9 months of laziness. Head for the pool and do yourself and the baby a favour.
