World Vegetarian Day coming tomorrow
Tomorrow is World Vegetarian Day, and veggie lovers the world over will be singing the praises of their chosen lifestyle. Is that a bad thing? Not at all -- education is an important part of finding out why some choose to become a vegetarian.Although many people I know are Vegans (different than just eating vegetarian products), I know only one person who is a vegetarian. And, hat person is one of the happiest people I know. Coincidence? Who knows.
Have you ever tried just eating grains, pulses, fruit and vegetables with no meat, fish or poultry? How did you fare after a few days or a week?

Now you know two vegetarians. I didn't know about this holiday, but it's good to get some publicity for the cause.
Whether you belive in vegetarianism or not, I would say that people who have the self-discipline to control themselves are generally healthier. I've never seen a vegetarian 700 lb man on one of those specials and I've noticed on vegetarian dating sites that the women tend to be thinner.

There is really nothing bad about not eating meat but not getting the protein needed is a problem. Many people get diabetes or become overweight because of the lack of protein in their diet. Protein speeds up the metabolism while slowing down digestion. Protein is needed.

Hi, it's really cool eating vegetables. I am not a vegetarian as yet but I am cutting down on eating meat due to health reasons. I suffered Eczema and am going thru some traditional chinese therapy and the first thing that i need to do is to limit meat intake to 20%. And so I am venturing into eating more vegetables.
Stumbled upon your blog and tot of saying hi.

"Where do you get your protein?" is one of the first questions veg*ans get asked, and it's a completely spurious issue. Vegetarians and vegans get plenty of protein, from nuts, legumes, beans, tofu, tempeh, wheat gluten, seitan, etc, etc.... More information is here:
