Another Biggest Loser Lesson: Don't be disapointed by what's on the scale

Since watching The Biggest Loser last week for the first time and being somewhat intrigued, I made a point to once again so my laundry just before it came on so I could fold while I watched the episode unfold. I wasn't disappointed -- the show was once again full of drama and suspense. Maybe this will become a habit for me.
Anyway, I think if there was one thing you could learn from this episode, it's this: Don't expect the weight to just fall off. Losing 10 lbs in a week is a lot -- aim for 2 or 3. And keep in mind that what's on the scale doesn't matter (well, it does for the contestants, but that's only because their on TV.) What matters is how you feel, how much energy you have and how well your clothes fit.
Keep in mind that while the number on the scale might not be dropping, the inches around your waist probably are. I felt bad for the contestants who were so obviously upset that they only lost two pounds, but hey. The journey of a thousands miles begins with a single step, right?
