The U.S. Department of Health will be launching the new "Hispanic Elders Health Initiative" project to target the health of aging Hispanic citizens in the U.S. This stems out of a report on heath care disparities between races in the U.S. which was published in 2006.With the Hispanic population in the U.S. comprising the largest racial minority in the country, it's of little surprise that this new initiative is being enacted so quickly.
By many accounts, the average age of Hispanic citizens in the U.S. is increasing rapidly. Without action now, the potential torrent of possible health problems would be not a good thing without some proactive effort.
