So how did your weekend go? Depending on what stage you're at in life you may have spent Friday and Saturday nights out socializing, maybe drinking a little too much? Hopefully it's not a regular habit (among other negative health effects drinking can really pack on the pounds) but dealing with a hangover is always a challenge.
This article lists all kinds of information to make your hangover as mild or nonexistent as possible, with tips for before you go out, while you're out, after you get home, and even for the day after. Some are pretty much common sense (like drinking lots of water), but are there any that surprised you? Personally I hadn't heard the B6 idea before (I'll have to make a mental note to remember that one!).

I've heard that the hangover you get is caused by a vitamin deficiency/a depletion of vitamins in your body, so after an evening of heavy drinking, I've been taking a multi-vitamin before going to bed, and voila! No hangover.

Wake up without a hangover... I discovered this in college. It worked for me, maybe for you too.
Before going to bed, take a double dose of aspirin (or Tylenol or Ibuprofen), drink a couple of tall glasses of water (and leave a full glass on your night stand in case you need overnight hydration) and take a few vitamin C tablets.

If you really want to make sure you wake up without a hangover... Take a good multivitamin/mineral on a daily basis with a good absorbtion rate. If you still have a little headache the morning after, you need to find a natural pain reliever so that the additives in the over the counter stuff doesn't mess with an already queezey stomache.

I haven't touched alcohol in years thus, NO HANGOVER in years either.
The best way to avoid a hangover is not to drink.
Please do NOT drink and drive!!
If you're going to drink.......stay home or call a cab!
NEVER leave a drink unattended!
Never accept a drink from a stranger. *no matter how cute he is!
If you don't see the bartender mix it (or mix it yourself) DO NOT DRINK IT!
Women, always buy your OWN drinks!
Don't let a man think he can get you drunk for $30 and get you to go home with him.
(he can get a hooker for that price)
Hangovers are nothing.....you'll live.
Drinking and driving or someone tampering with your drink is a whole different story, you might not be so lucky to wake up with a hangover.....you might not wake up at all!
Always let people know where you're going and who you are with. Put your cell on GPS locate (most have that feature)
Most of all.......BE AWARE and BE CAREFUL at all times!

oh #6, watch taking ibuprofen with alcohol. You'll be fast tracking yourself to a liver transplant.
I enjoy my wine. I don't drink and drive. But I enjoy my wine. Cheap wines will give you a hangover faster. And I drink enough, but not enough to get sloppy or a hangover.

For that splitting headache. Take a dimetapp or similar sinus med. It shrinks your sinus and allows room for your brain to swell (the main cause of the headache from too much drinking). Take before you laydown and pass-out or when you first wake if you forgot. It has worked for me and a few I've told to try!

Once more if you missed it before, taking TYLENOL with even a small amount of alcohol in your bloodstream can lead to acute liver failure. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER take Tylenol six hours before or six hours after drinking.
