Beware sneaky "diet" foods that really aren't
Categories: Diet & Weight Loss, Nutrition & Supplements
Beware of the sneaky diet foods that are looking to sabotage your diet! You'll be left clueless and frustrated why the pounds are creeping on, and that's never any fun. Some items that are often advertised as healthy and good weight loss choices aren't always -- ground turkey for example. Although turkey breast is a super lean choice, that's not what you're likely to get in a turkey burger. Instead dark turkey, and even turkey skin, is likely to shoot the fat and calorie content of that meat patty up so high you may have been better off with a steak.Other common culprits included enhanced water, juice, and breakfast cereals. Does any of this surprise you? It really comes down to reading labels in the grocery store, and asking questions in restaurants before you order.

LoL I don't mean to make fun but the prior comment really looks like these people are trying hard to sell there product and very expensively. I don't want to get too into detail but you can get the same product at any health food store just different brand.

The great thing about losing weight is buying new clothes.

I drank Goji juice for several months. Other than initially finding it easier to fall asleep, I didn't feel any other benefit. And the juice was very expensive at almost $40. per liter.
Wondering about the acai berry juice mentioned here, but am wary about getting caught up in even more hype.

Most people don't realise that the reason they feel such energy is that their bodies have been deleted of vitamins and minerals (even those who take common multiple vitamins) and the introduction of anything with higher vitamins, etc., particularly omega-3, will give them a boost. People should look for an overall good vitamin pack and then add one of the juice drinks if they want extra healthy benefits. A little research will help people, particularly those that mistakenly think there is a magic bullet for achieving a healthy life.

Funny I should come across this site when I have just finished putting together a "Weight Loss Soup" that has served me well in the past. I lost 17 pounds in the seven days I used it before and am looking forward to the same this time.
And also funny that mention of Monavie is included here, too. I have just started my third bottle and have experienced more energy and a peace of mind that has been missing in my life for awhile. Two ladies I know have experienced unexpected results. One, a seventy-five year old had a skin condition along with the "brown" spots and all. Her complexion not only cleared up but she lost twenty pounds. The other lady, a terminal cancer patient, was given six months and that was a year and a half ago. When my step son saw his mother living past the diagnosed time, he doubled his efforts and is seling the product, making enough each month to pay his mortgage and car payment. I told him (he gave me my first bottle) that if it got rid of the pain I am having in my upper arms, I would start selling, too. It has not completely disappeared, but I think it has somewaht lessened. I'll let everyone know if it does go away completely. Sorry to be so long winded but after all I am teacher and it becomes an occupational hazard.
I hope Carmen and Crazy 8 get to read this comment.
Sincerely, Margarett

My husband is getting chemo and would you believe the husband of a patient was pushing goji juice in the office touting it as a miracle cure. I looke it up and its nothing more than a pyramid scam

One of the best pain relievers for the entire body that I've found is Serrapeptase (used in sufficient quantity). Check it out on the Internet. Another is MSM. I use both for arthritus on the rare occassions when I have a smigeon of pain in a knee or feel any joint ache while exercising. We sprinters can get some wear and tear on our knee joints. For weight loss I just cut out grains, high glycemic index foods and particularly ice cream. I also walk and sprint every day at the gym.
I had a lung cancer scare several months ago. My friends asked me what kind of therapy I planned to use if it turned out I had cancer. I told them that some wholistic doctors consider cancer easy to cure without chemo, radiation, operations or whatever, and that was going to be my course of action. Happily, after taking high doses of Serrapeptase for six weeks, my most r
