How to beat morning grogginessPosted on Aug 28th 2007 1:02PM by Jonathon Morgan
I'll never understand morning people. When my alarm goes off, I literally have to force my body out of bed by throwing down the covers, swinging my legs to the side, and using the momentum to propel myself to standing. If you talk to me for the first 30 minutes I'm awake, I will be mean to you.
I have a sneaking suspicion that I'm not the only person who feels this way, so if my morning routine sounds familiar, maybe you'll want to try a few of these suggestions from the Monster Blog on how you can shake the dreaded grogginess.
A few aren't exactly mind-blowing -- like "going to sleep early," or "drinking coffee" -- but a few seemed like they might just do the trick. I was especially intrigued by "listening to your favorite music," or "cooking." Both sound like fun ways to feel slightly more alive during those early-morning hours.
