There are dangerous ways to diet

In many minds, the term "diet" is a good thing. To those who have tried multiple diets through the years with middling success, you probably rate diets as "good" and "bad" based on the success you eventually had (or didn't have). But, there are really ways to diet that are "good" and "bad" outside of subjective assessments. Losing 10 pounds in a week, for example, is considered by almost every doctor and nutritionist to be "bad" -- the body can't cope with such rapid weight loss.
In fact, rapid weight loss can be detrimental to your health in many ways. The one thing that's against dieters with this mindset is that "instant gratification" is the goal -- but it should not be. Gradual, healthy weight loss should be, right? Anything worth doing is worth waiting for -- and healthy weight loss is a top qualifier.
