Navigating the food court

Going to the mall can be a nutritional horror -- chances are, you won't find much beyond fast food and the occasion chain restaurant. But sometimes you just need a quick bite to eat, so courtesy of Back in the Skinny Jeans, here are some tips for digging up a healthy meal in the food courts:
- Ignore flashy combo offers. Getting fries and a coke with that for only a dollar more is a good deal for your money, but a bad deal for your waistline.
- Share -- if you split something in half, your only getting half the calories!
- Do your research. I usually plan where I will eat and what I will have beforehand using online nutritional info. Boring, yes, but I have trouble with on-the-spot decisions anyway, so it helps relieve some anxiety
- Try on clothes before hand. This is a great, great suggestion. There's nothing like finding out you've gone up a size to make you want to stick to a side salad and water.
