The Daily Turn On! Get touchy-feely
Life is too short not to be fully "tuned in." The Daily Turn On! is designed to wake up your senses, all six of them: smell, taste, touch, hearing, sight and intuition! Everyday The Daily Turn On! with That's Fit Life Fit expert Laura Lewis will awaken your mind, your body and your life!Did you know ... The act of touching and being touched can boost your immune system. The more touches, hugs, kisses, massages, handshakes, pats on the back, etc., you give and receive will make you healthier and happier.
A woman's skin is more sensitive than a man's, and yet women need more touch. Women typically experience a higher level of stress but lower levels of the chemicals necessary to balance stress. A quick hug is a quick and easy way to reduce stress. If you are feeling overwhelmed, don't wait for someone to hug you -- go after it yourself and hug someone. You will feel better immediately!
Try it out ... Hug a friend, a family member or even a colleague. Pat a friend on the hand or shoulder when speaking. Kiss a cheek when greeting. Give hello and good-bye hugs. When hugging children, let them let go of you first!
Observe your emotions ... Are you happy? Do you feel alive and awake? More positive? Less stressed? Share your experiences with us. More hugs in this world and more people talking about them can only be a good thing!
Turn On your senses ... Live a Fit Life!

Did you know that the act of touching and being touched can get you or other people sick? That's right! The more touches, hugs, kisses, massages, handshakes, pats on the back, etc. you give and receive will make you more susceptible to harmful bacteria.
Try it out! Hug a friend, a family member, or even a colleague. Pat a friend on the hand or shoulder when speaking, especially if you just failed to wash your hands after releasing a superb amount of feces. Kiss a cheek when greeting and be sure to breathe in the person's face, making sure they get a fulfilling smell of your post-tuna salad delight. Give hello and good-bye hugs and when hugging children, let them let go of you first because if they have the same mindset regarding you, an eighteen-minute hug won't be awkward at all!
And finally observe your emotions. Are you nauseous? Do you feel tired and weak? More defective? Less energetic? Share your experiences with us. More hugs in this world and more people talking about them can only be contageous!

I like the answer Mr. Wright posted. And maybe, if we're lucky, someone with actually give those se'ect celebrities a few "touchy-feely" actions and they can get sick, die, and leave the rest of us normal people alone...

This really works. Just last night I had a really big breakdown, and my friend of 2 days hugs me. His hug made it possible for me to make it home.

haha all but one of the comments on here seem to be from nuns and monks and stuff. taking in foreign germs alot of times strengthens your immune system anyways. But ill remember the advice if im ever in a party with jessica alba and shes on the rebound and weve spent half the night freak dancing, wouldnt want to get to close to her now would i?

thats really sweet kyli.
i agree.
i am not a very affectionate person but i truly love physical affection (the kind i do not receive very often). I sometimes just want to hold someone's hand. it's weird but true.
