Odd treadmill just the ticket for stroke victims

A treadmill is a very good thing for keeping that cardio system in decent shape, but it's not really practical for those with a recent stroke or other physical disability.

That may be about to change, though. A new type of treadmill (unlike the normal one pictured) promises to get stroke victims and similar sufferers walking in partial fashion. Maybe even in great fashion, after time.

The new treadmill design uses a split-belt design that can make one foot move forward while the other moves backward, and may end up helping medical professionals understand how the human brain rewires itself after certain types of trauma.
