Lung ashtray
Categories: Diet & Weight Loss
No matter how many times they hear the dire warnings about how cigarettes are killing them, some smokers are so addicted that their personal well-being is seemingly of no concern.
The only way to get these people to quit is to pester the crap out of them until they finally give in and give up.
That's why I love little reminders like this lung ashtray. The concept of a lung-shaped ashtray isn't entirely new, but the installation -- commissioned by, and stationed outside of Germany's largest health insurance company -- is certainly grabbing people's attention. Written above the lungs is a web address (roughly translated as "i-will-become-a-non-smoker.de") so smokers who are moved by the piece can get information on how to quit successfully.

You've just described the perfect way to keep someone smoking forever.

Maybe you have not learned this. But, pestering any one about anything just makes you a pest and does nothing for your cause but hurt it.

Pestering someone will NOT make them quit ! I smoked for 34 years and quit a couple of times. Now I have quit for good its been13 months. It has to be the smokers decision. Two of the best motivators are FEAR, and LOVE. Fear that you are going to get sick and die. Love for yourself. Cold turkey was the most effective for me. Then don't listen to the evil voices that try to con you into smoking. "Oh, just one" they will say. Finally whyquit web site read Kim's missing lung, listen to people in their final days tell you their regrets. Its heart wrenching ! Pictures that will make you cry. But the end result is no one person can make another person quit.

What gives you the right to pester anyone about anything...we all make our own choices... just because someone doesn't make the choices that you subscribe to doesn't make them any less valid... shut up... leave people alone...

I have news for you and this idiotic article--pestering somebody about their smoking just keeps them smoking out of spite. I learned my lesson a long time ago when I said to a date, "Smoking is a nasty habit," and he looked me square in the face and said, "So is nagging."
