Fat March: A long walk for weight loss
Posted on Aug 8th 2007 2:00PM by Bethany SandersRiding the wave with successful reality weight loss shows like The Biggest Loser and Celebrity Fit Club comes Fat March, which, like it's two popular cousins, involves putting a group of overweight participants to the test to see if they can lose the weight and win some cash in the process.
In Fat March, the 12 contestants walk 500 miles across 10 states. Fat March producers claim to stress teamwork, but contestants are allowed to vote out teammates at elimination if they feel a team member is keeping them from reaching their goal. And what is their goal? To reach the finish line by the time limit and split the $1.2 million prize.
Walking across country is certainly one way to get in shape; we'll have to see if it works for this crew of participants!
