How the Laws of Attraction can help you lose weight

Have you read or seen The Secret? I haven't but I know what it's about: The laws of attraction and using them to get what you want in life. Laws of Attraction, it's thought, can be used in any aspect of your life, including, as this blog points out, weight loss. Here's how you can take control of your weight:
- Ask for your ideal weight/size, by writing down your goals
- Believe that you can do it, and believe that it is happening
- Receive your weight loss by appreciating it, and allowing yourself to feel good about it.

Puh...leeze! If you think you are going to receive your weight loss while two-fisting Ho-Ho's, you are misguided at best, delusional at worst.
Losing weight requires action. No matter how bad you want something to occur, you must do something different to get a different result...and I don't mean "magical thinking" different.
I look forward to this kooky, fad idea fading away.

I kind of agree with the article, but think Scott is right to a certain degree. Action is the key, but a thought is the instigator.
I don't think the law of attraction means sitting on your ass double-fisting ho-hos, rather, it means getting yourself in the mental state of already living the life of a healthy person. Once you start living your life as if you were a healthy fit person, you will eventually become that way through your actions. At least, that is what I got out of it.
