Fit pets: Fat cats face significant health risks

It seems that even our pets can't escape our bad habits and London veterinarians would like us all to know that fat cats are at up to three times the risk of developing diabetes. Cats today spend far too much time being inactive, rarely go outside, and overeat when they are bored. Hmmm....sounds familiar, doesn't it? So if you're kitty's looking a little thick around the waistline, what should you do? According to this article, you should not put kitty on a crash diet, because they can be especially dangerous for felines. Instead, feed correct portions of a quality food and make sure your pet gets exercise each day. Sound advice, for cats and humans alike.
