Pasta strategies for diabetics

Pasta's car count is pretty high, and when all those carbs convert into blood glucose after being eaten, those with diabetes can have potential issues. But, can people with diabetes eat a sensible pasta dish every once in a while? Sure!

This article over at eDiets explains the ins and outs of pasta and why this delicious food constantly gets a bad rap. Personally, I am a fan oh whole-wheat pastas and don't cook anything but. Refined pasta, on the other hand, is a different matter, and that's generally where the "high carb" detriments come in.

I like the first idea of not overburdening your plate with too much pasta. why not serve less of it and more fresh veggies or some other healthy side? I can't understand restaurants that serve and entire plate dominated by pasta, when it's clearly way (way) more than most normal people should eat in one sitting.
