Medical experts stated this week that parents of lactose-intolerant children should still give those kids a chance of drinking milk. If not, they may be missing an important source of calcium.Well, that's all fine and good, but there are plenty of other foods and methods to get calcium than from cow's milk. It's true that milk is probably the most popular way to get a daily intake of calcium, but it is far from the best source. I'm not sure I've seen a calf breastfeeding on a human, but millions of us do the opposite every day. Why is that?
Regardless of your stance on milk, finding a palatable way to get the needed vitamins and minerals into that child's diet is no easy task. But, with a little planning and patience, it is doable.
