Chili sauce recall gets explained

The recent chili sauce recall from this past week may have been caused by botulism in a plant that had a production problem just a few short months ago, according to officials.

At the time, the cans produced at the facility showed no problems, although the cans had been coming out of a heating and sterilization process too hot before they were cooled. Independent evaluators also found no problems when asked to inspect the cans from the facility.

In case you have not seen the list of recalled chili sauce products, here are the names and bar code numbers. Check your pantry.
