I'm ready to Wiggle!
Throughout my 18 years of teaching fitness around the world, I can imagine I've taught at least 20 million people at some point or another on how to become more fit. Helping people live better and longer is what I do, what I love, and who I am. In an effort to prevent obesity and side effects in the first place, I've spent much time trying to figure out why people become un-fit in the first place. Ninety-nine percent of the time I can specifically point my finger toward each person's up-bringing.
Were sports and fitness activities a part of daily life, or was the television and video game boxes taking prominence in the home? Did Mom and Dad insist on low calorie, nutritious meals and snacks, or were bags of cookies and chips a constant in the cabinets? Kids do what they're raised to do for the most part. Addressing fitness with a passion while raising your children today will allow them to avoid: diets, eating disorders, heart disease, cancer, diabetes, GERD, RLS, and premature death in the future. What a gift to give!
Having said all this. I focus much of my attention on elevating the knowledge of both children and parents on the importance of healthy habits for today and tomorrow. I seek out tools to make this easier and I'm thrilled to announce that I'll soon spend a few days working with one of the best tools available. My unique tool of choice? The Wiggles! I'll be in Chicago August 18th and 19th to visit with and interview The Wiggles while they tour. This awesome group of Aussie men are the children's version of the Beatles around the world, and they should be considered one of a parents' weapons of choice when it comes to teaching healthy habits.
Even though kids view them via the television, each show should really be considered much more of a workout tape. Just the way Mom does her Body Blasting workout, little Suzie and Jack could get their exercise equivalent by "Doing the Monkey" or "Rolling Down the Sand Dunes". I'm truly ecstatic to spend the weekend with them. Fitness Pioneers no doubt!
If I have my way, I'll interview each Wiggle, shoot some fitness video with them, have a dance, workout with Anthony, have a meal with them, interview some concert goers and just spy inside this fantastic little world they've created. In a day when all other children's programs have sold out to sugary snacks and soda, The Wiggles praise fruits, veggies, lean meats, whole grains and get kids up to boogie while doing it. I've been in fitness for a long time and have done quite a bit of television, film and radio work as well. I've yet to be so excited to meet anybody, nor have I been so inspired. I'm ready to Wiggle!
**If you have any questions you'd like to me to ask The Wiggles, please list them in the comment section and I'll do my best to ask them.

I would also like to ask Jeff if he ever received the drawings of him that I sent him, and if he received the small painting and magnet I sent him for his birthday?
I also want to say that I think Jeff is wonderful and I am his #1 fan, and I am looking forward to meeting him at the meet and greet in Dallas on the 25th!!

Hi! I thought of a few questions. You don't have to use all of them (or any of them) - just pick whatever you like.
Q: Do you remember your first time performing in concert as The Wiggles (when the group was first starting out)? What was that experience like?
Q: What inspired Murray and Anthony to choose teaching as a profession?
Q: Be honest - what's your favorite fruit in a fruit salad?
Q: Besides your family and your house, what do you miss most while you are away from home?
Q: One of your little fans wants to know: Will Dorothy the Dinosaur ever turn six years old? She's been five for a long time!

I know how you must keep fit while on tour, but when not touring and have some down time, do you make it a point to exercise regularly? Do your wives share the same fitness ethics?

I have three questions - hope one of them intrigues you enough to use it, :-)
1) What do you think are the three biggest challenges facing children today, and how do the Wiggles fit in in helping kids deal with these challenges?
2) Since the Wiggles' messages about healthy eating habits are all over their videos and TV shows, I am curious to know if any of them would be willing to describe a typical dinner in their households.
3) And on a related note, would they ever consider publishing a Wiggles cookbook for parents?
