Yo-yo diet and see increased risk of cancer

Have you ever "yo-yo dieted?" Many of us have. We lose weight for an event and then gain it back within a month. Or, we try our best to take on a number of diets, failing at each one ultimately as our weight goes down then back up, then down again. This type of dieting scenario is now being connected to an increased propensity for kidney cancer, according to the latest research. I guess subjecting the kidneys to nutritional and weight-based fluctuations on a consistent basis is not the best environment, right?
Researchers did not have a firm statement on why dieting in the "yo-yo" fashion was more prone to lead to kidney cancer than even being overweight, but dieting just to fit in that dress (and then eating to your heart's content after that) does not seem to be wise. It may be tasty, but you'll potentially pay for it later according to this study.
