Paul McCartney wants us to stop eating meat -- ALL of us
Categories: Celebs & Entertainment, Alternative & Green Health
A vegetarian lifestyle will help with the global warming problem, according to Paul McCartney, who says that "Livestock farming is one of the biggest destroyers of the planet ... When you see the Amazon being cut down for hamburger cattle, that's pretty obvious." So he wants us to all go veggie, which I think is a great idea, although at the moment the thought of giving up chicken wings for good is enough to send me into a mini-panic attack. But I think he's right, and if we could all put aside our meat cravings, our planet would be healthier.
Paul McCartney has been using his star-power to better the earth for some time now, and I think that he's done a lot of good.
What do you think of Sir Paul and his environmental crusading?

He's right. People should not eat red meat or poultry for many, many reasons. If you don't care about the terrible abuse and horrible deaths these animals go through, perhaps you may care about yourself enough to think about all the bad things that has been given to these poor animals and all this is now in you, oh my. And if you don't care about yourself, how about your kids?If you don't know what I am talking about look up PETA. Now if you don't care about all the above I'm sure you would'nt care about mother earth. For all the many, many reasons...it's best to eat a healthy vegetarian diet.

I'm sick and tired of people pushing their beliefs on everyone else. If people want to eat a vegetarian diet thats fine with me god bless them; however, if people want eat their meat they should be allowed to do it without feeling guilty. Humans are not strict herbivores we are more like bears omnivores. we eat both. If Paul McCartney wants be vegetarian thats fine but quit pushing it on everyone else.

I believe the world would be a more healthy place if we all just ate veggies and fruit. I could live without meat. Those poor chickens and cattle suffer terribly.

I'm with the first commenter. I have no special feelings towards animals. I don't see any reason for animals to suffer but that is not why I became a vegetarian. When a friend talked to me and showed me that if everyone was a vegetarian there would be enough food to feed everyone on the planet I couldn't help but take meat out of my diet. I'm not even that concerned about global warming to be honest. I just think it's sad that people overseas are starving because we the people of the United States need our steak. My decision is humanitarian, nothing more, nothing less.

I agree with you - I know there are people out there like me who could live without eating animals (i still eat eggs/dairy) or who could eat a little less animal than they have in the past. Do what you can! it's not a choice between bloated-flesh-murdering-carnivore vs skinny-raw-macro-rabbit-people. Paul McCartney is one of the few famous people speaking up for forgotten animals and vegetarianism.
